Photo Exhibition | Lost Childhood

Experience the raw, human truth of the war. Take a look at the Photo Exhibition Lost Childhood, running from the 1st until the 12th of December, presented by Bring Kids Back UA. These photographs capture the faces and stories of Ukrainian children whose lives have been affected by deportation, displacement, and the trauma of war. This exhibition aims to raise awareness of the immense human cost of the conflict.

As always, it's free for students and staff! No need to sign up.

Panel discussion | How does war shape a child’s life?

The photo exhibition is complemented by a focused panel discussion on December 9th at 16:00 in the Speakers' Corner. The panel will share insights into the experiences, resilience, and specific support needs of children in Ukraine and those who have relocated abroad, to highlight effective strategies for protection and recovery.

We are pleased to welcome as guests:

  • Ukrainian Ambassador Andriy Kostin: Speaking on the situation of separated children and ongoing efforts for reunification.
  • Anna Solenko (Specialist in Cooperation with Central Executive Authorities): Discussing the implementation of support programmes within Ukraine.
  • Stefanie Schuddebeurs (Sociologist at THUAS, specialising in migration and democratic participation): Addressing the psychological well-being of Ukrainian children and relevant support programmes in the Netherlands and Ukraine.
