Databases of the week

Navigator is now called: InView Essential
Kluwer has developed a future-proof platform with the same content as in Navigator. Therefore, as of now, the name has been changed to: InView Essential. The functionalities have not changed.

Van Dale Online Dictionaries
These can be accessed via SURFconext but also via IP recognition. Tip: make a shortcut on your desktop with this link to have the dictionaries always quickly available.

EZproxy
Most databases require logging in via EZproxy for off-campus access. To increase security, logging in to EZproxy is now done via SURFconext. The first time you use this, you will see a screen to give permission to forward your login details.

Databases overview and Safari
The databases overview can't be used via the Safari browser, from iPhones / tablets. You can use another webbrowser eg. Firefox instead.

VMN Media databases
The search bar in De Architect, Cobuw, Facto.nl and Gawalo is not always visible. And the search result no longer has an EZproxy link, so there is no access to the article off-campus. On-campus, there is access.

Browser support
The minimal browser requirements to use EBSCO databases are: the latest version or one previous version of the browser. This may also be the case for other databases.

Search systems and tools

Besides the library catalogue, these are main search systems / tools to find documentary information: the improved databases overviewE-Publication Finder and three browsertools: Lean LibraryLibKey Nomad and EndNote Click. See the Full text tools page for more information.

Library app

The push notifications of the H/Library app is not functioning properly. The library is aware of this, unfortunately we depend on an external supplier. In February there will be an update of the app. As soon as the update is available, we will communicate this through the library website and social media.
