Team Public Governance

Ibtissam works as a researcher and is involved in a collaboration concerning prenatal home visits. She also studies women's groups in The Hague and conducts exploratory research on children of European labor migrants.

Curious about how to really get civic participation off the ground? As a behavioral scientist, Tjitske researches the collaboration between citizens and municipalities. She looks at the role of moderators and the power of a platform developed by the research group, where citizens themselves can launch their initiatives. 
She works as a researcher for the research groups Civic Technology and Public Governance.

Maaike is researcher at the research group Public Governance and teaches at the Pedagogy department. She focuses mainly on research topics related to knowledge exchange and decision making in regard to sensitive subjects. 

In her PhD research, Hasse studies how the relationship and collaboration between community-based initiatives and formal institutions, such as the (local) government, can be made more just, meaningful, and inclusive. She is an external PhD candidate at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. 

Cynthia works as a management assistant at Centre of Expertise Governance of Urban Transitions. There she does the financial administration, arranges external business trips and is involved in symposia and events. Cynthia also supports Research Group Transforming Youth Care where necessary. She does this mainly through agenda management and other activities for the lecturer.
