For the Business Controller degree programme, this means that you gain knowledge that you can immediately apply to controller issues in your own working environment.

During the lectures, you will work with fellow students from various organisations, both in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. This automatically gives you a broad view of the applicability of theory in a diversity of organisations.

You have been working in a finance role at an executive level for 2 years or more. Your ambition is to advance to a tactical-level position. To be able to advise management as a controller from a business perspective. You have a background in (business) economics, finance or business administration. In the past few years, you have also shown in practice that you can work and think at a higher professional education level. Admission criteria

To join the post-higher professional education programme Business Controller, you must have a bachelor's diploma and at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Check the registration conditions or apply directly: 

  1. Register your enrolment in Osiris, our enrolment system. 
  2. Upload digital copies of your CV, relevant diplomas and list of grades.  You will hear whether you meet the admission requirements after 2 to 4 weeks. 
  3. Optional: intake interview. Do you not have a relevant educational entry level but you do have a higher professional education work and thinking level? During an intake interview, the programme manager will assess whether you are sufficiently qualified for the degree programme in question. You will hear within 2 weeks of the interview whether you can start. 
  4. If your employer funds the degree programme, we will ask you for a completed employer's statement. You can print out and upload this PDF. You will receive confirmation by e-mail that you have been admitted to the degree programme. Invoicing will follow after the start, but the employer’s statement must be in before the start of degree programme. You can upload a blank sheet if you don't manage to get the employer's statement signed immediately.

  • you can provide policy-level advice based on thorough analysis of business processes;
  • within your own organisation or for clients, you are an expert interlocutor on finance and business processes;
  • you have completed 3 of the 9 modules of the master's degree programme in Financial Management and Control. These results remain valid for 5 years, should you decide to pursue the full master's degree programme after all.
