For you?
Would you like to strengthen your marketing expertise and increase your impact in a commercial role? This 10-week part-time module takes your marketing knowledge to master’s level. You will learn how marketing works, how to develop strategies, and how to apply these insights directly in your own professional practice.
Marketing plays a central role in how organisations create value for customers. A strong understanding of marketing principles helps you better understand how products, services, and communication contribute to achieving organisational goals. In this module, you will discover how effective marketing strategies are developed and applied in practice.
You will explore marketing from a broad perspective: from analysis to strategy and implementation. You will examine marketing tools, target audience identification, positioning, data-driven decision-making, ethics, and sustainability. You will apply these concepts in a portfolio and work in teams on a marketing plan for a real organisation. This allows you to experience how theory, analysis, and decision-making come together in practice.
The module is practice-oriented and designed for working professionals from a variety of roles. You will learn from lecturers and fellow students with different backgrounds, including sales, communication, and management. The combination of theory, current cases, and Learning Communities makes this module valuable for anyone looking to deepen or broaden their marketing expertise.
Upon completion, you will receive an exemption for this module within the full MBA programme. This allows you to focus on your professional development now and progress smoothly into the full programme at a later stage.

Module content
What will you be doing?
Teaching methods
You will work with interactive learning formats that are closely connected to the practice of modern marketing. Classes take place one evening per week, making the module easy to combine with your professional commitments. During these sessions, theory, discussion, and practical application are combined. You will work in small groups on portfolio assignments and a joint marketing plan, learning from professionals with diverse backgrounds.
Throughout the module, you will also work in a Learning Community (LC), a fixed group of 3 to 5 students. Within your LC, you will prepare group assignments, discuss literature, and provide each other with feedback. You will learn with and from each other, using one another’s knowledge and experience as a foundation for your development. The LCs also explore themes such as sustainability, circular business models, and social responsibility.
Each LC has its own digital environment in Microsoft Teams, where students collaborate on assignments, exchange information, and engage in discussions. This combination of theory, group assignments, and LC sessions creates a strong connection between concepts, professional practice, and personal development.
