Would you like to understand how AI helps organisations operate more intelligently and efficiently? In this Applied Artificial Intelligence module, you learn how to apply AI responsibly to improve decision-making, innovation and productivity within your workplace.
This Applied Artificial Intelligence module demonstrates how modern AI tools can help organisations work more efficiently. You learn how generative AI supports decision-making, makes processes more efficient and creates new opportunities for innovation within your professional practice. In doing so, you develop your AI literacy and learn how to translate practical problems into realistic AI applications.
You work in an AI-supported learning environment where Python is combined with smart AI tools that assist with programming and analysis. This AI course helps you explore ideas, develop solutions and deepen your understanding step by step. Extensive programming knowledge is not required: the AI module is specifically designed for professionals who want to learn how to practically apply AI without a strong focus on coding.
In addition, the programme focuses on responsible AI, current regulations and strategic applications of AI within organisations. You learn how to identify valuable opportunities for AI and how AI can contribute to innovation, strategy and decision-making within your work environment. This AI training course focuses on knowledge that can be applied in the professional practice straight away
Admission and application
Everything about admission
To take this Applied Artificial Intelligence module, you need a relevant bachelor’s diploma with sufficient grounding in quantitative subjects. In addition, you have at least two years of relevant work experience and, ideally, work in a data- or AI-focused environment.
Application procedure
Please follow the instructions below to register for the module.
- Go to Osiris for Professionals (OvP), our enrolment system.
- If you are not yet registered with The Hague University of Applied Sciences, choose to register. If you are already registered, log in with your account. You will then receive messages via the email address you provided.
- Once logged in, follow the on-screen steps to upload the required documents.
- Next, submit your application.
- After submission, the admission process begins, during which the programme manager will assess whether you are sufficiently qualified for the chosen module.
- a) Payment after admission
Once admitted, you will receive information about payment. To finalise your enrolment, you must follow the instructions on the payment page. You will be given the option to either pay directly or request an invoice. If you choose “Direct payment”, your enrolment is fully completed once payment is made.
b) b) If you prefer to pay via invoice, or if your employer is paying:
• On the payment page, select “Invoice”.
• Under “Who pays”, choose “Myself” or “My employer”.
• If you select “My employer”, enter your employer’s details.
• The invoice will be sent after the start date.
Important: If you choose to have the invoice sent to your employer, you must register at least 3 weeks before the start date, following the steps above.

Decisions regarding your qualification for admission
There are no exceptions to the official admission requirements. The Enrolment Office is the only party that can make decisions regarding your qualification for admission based on official regulations. You can’t rely on any other sources of information for your qualification for admission.

What will you be doing?
Learning methods
This Applied Artificial Intelligence module combines theory with practical learning. During interactive lectures and demonstrations, you work with AI technologies such as generative AI, AI agents and language models. You learn how these technologies support organisations in decision-making, innovation and productivity.
You also work with modern AI tools and Python, in combination with AI-supported programming tools. In this way, you explore, step by step, how AI solutions can be applied within your own work environment. Extensive programming knowledge is not required.
Blended learning
All degree programmes at The Hague University of Applied Sciences Pro are delivered in a blended format. This means that the programme is delivered in person and, if necessary, can be switched to online education. Personal attention, quality and practical applicability are central to every degree programme.

Certificate
Data Analytics met R is een kort programma dat op masterniveau wordt gegeven en maakt deel uit van de Master of Business Administration (MBA). Na de laatste sessie moet je een opdracht inleveren en na succesvolle afronding ontvang je een certificaat. Dit certificaat geeft je een vrijstelling van deze mastermodule als je ervoor kiest om te beginnen met de Master of Business Administration-opleiding. Het certificaat is 5 jaar geldig. Bij inschrijving voor de gehele masteropleiding ontvang je een korting van € 2.000 per masterclass certificaat.

Support during your studies
We offer assistance during your studies. Studying in combination with your job is quite a challenge, which is why we offer guidance and support. A study coach guides you during study meetings at school and at your workplace. Together, you map out your desired study path in relation to your workplace and draw up a personal plan on how you want to shape your studies and personal development.
