Scholarship assessments and results
We have appointed a committee to assess all essays. The judges will select the three students with the most impressive essays to receive the scholarship. The jury’s decision is binding and you will be informed about the results by email. Please note that you will only be awarded the scholarship after you have been conditionally accepted and have met all terms and conditions of enrolment. By submitting your essay, you are giving us the right to publish it if desired. Scholarship winners are also expected to participate actively in the programme and its evaluations, become an ambassador of the Masters programmes and contribute to the internationalisation of our institution. If you have any questions before applying, please email them to [email protected]. Please make sure you read the Regulations for Financial Aid – Masters Programmes, as it contains detailed information regarding this scholarship programme.
Student motivation letter
It is important that you devote the utmost attention to your motivation for studying. We recommend that you read the eligibility criteria for the embassy and make sure to answer all questions in such a way that this will result in a positive assessment. Your motivation should not be general, but unique. It is important that you show the embassy that, on returning to your country, you will be in a position to create a positive change in your organisation and for your country. This information is very important for the embassies when evaluating your application and cannot be underestimated.
Scholarships in your home country
It is worth checking whether any scholarships are available in your home country. For example, American students can apply for a Fulbright scholarship and there is an EU-South Africa Scholarship Programme available to South African students. Your country may offer similar grants. For more information or application forms, contact your local Dutch embassy or ask your current higher educational institution. The Grantfinder website also provides some useful information on scholarships. This website is part of the Netherlands Organisation for International Cooperation in Higher Education (Nuffic), as it contains detailed information regarding this scholarship programme.
