Come read with us
This year, we’re doing things a little differently. Instead of reading at home and discussing later, we read together during the sessions and talk as we go. We’ll read the same book, in Dutch or English, and share what caught our attention. What stayed with you? What did you make of it? And did someone else see it completely differently?
No preparation, no lectures: just a good book, good conversation and a chance to meet new people. With snacks and drinks, of course. It is a book club, after all!
The Song of Achilles
Madeline Miller’s The Song of Achilles is a captivating retelling of the Trojan War, told through the eyes of Patroclus. At its heart is his deep and intense bond with Achilles, from their youth together to the battlefield. Blending mythology with a moving love story, the novel explores friendship, ambition, honour and what it means to choose your own path.

The Handmaid’s Tale
Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale takes us into a chilling future where women have been stripped of their rights. We follow Offred as she tries to hold on to her identity and hope in a society built around control. Gripping, unsettling and still strikingly relevant, the novel raises questions about power, freedom, equality and our responsibility to one another.
