Posters are hanging everywhere, volunteers are handing out flyers at their usual spots, and talk shows are full of it: the municipal elections. Topics such as student well‑being, housing, and student facilities take shape here and have a direct impact on us and our students. In short, more than reason enough to take a good look at them.

Student & City debate

To explore how the various political parties view student-related issues in the run-up to the municipal elections, Platform Student & City and the Haagsche Kamer van Verenigingen are organizing a debate about The Hague as a student city. The debate will take place on Thursday, 5 March, from 16:00 to 18:00 in the Aula at THUAS, and will be moderated by De Kiesmannen.

The Hague student city

On behalf of nine educational institutions (mbo, universities of applied sciences, and universities), board member Arend Hardorff will present the manifesto The Hague Student City to the participating political parties. “This manifesto deserves to be followed up with concrete actions in the coming years. Our joint ambition is clear. Now we must bring it to life, because only then can we fully unlock the potential of The Hague as a student city. We trust that the municipal council and the Executive Board will commit themselves to this with us in the years ahead.”
