At the fifth edition, six finalists took the stage with their pitches. We saw forward-looking concepts ranging from AI applications to circular fashion and sustainable products. Jeroen Derwort, lecturer in IT & Design, summed up the evening: “HSiF once again proved how powerful and essential the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Haaglanden is.”

HSiF began at THUAS, within the New Finance research group, and has since grown into an independent foundation offering students exceptional opportunities to realize their entrepreneurial dreams. HSiF supports them with seed capital, coaching, training, and a close-knit community, enabling ambitious ideas to grow into viable businesses.

An evening of growth

The event is not only about prizes, but above all about growth. During the networking and pitch sessions, new collaborations emerged, ideas were sharpened, and students shared their experiences with one another. International Business student Minhyeok Sung demonstrated the impact HSiF can have: “Last year I was in the audience, and a year later I’m pitching my own company here. I was able to take that step thanks to everyone who supported me and the opportunities this event provides.”

With 150 attendees and a strong line-up, the jury faced no easy task in selecting the winners. The Grow Prize went to Zwina Foundation, the Seed Prize to Verdiax, and the First Fans Prize to Aristaeus. TUNNELVISION, Unravel, and Partshub also impressed with their vision and craftsmanship.

A platform for the entrepreneurial generation

Jury chair and HSiF chair Juri Siewert emphasized the significance of the event for young entrepreneurs: “It is a fantastic event, and I am immensely proud of the entire team and all the work we put into it. Seeing everything come together like this is an important moment for all of us, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s edition.”
