Love movies?

Are you curious about new stories, excited to learn about filmmaking, and want to share your love of movies with others? Join The Lighthouse Film Club! It will be fun and inspiring, and you’ll meet people who love films just like you.

On Tuesday, October 14, we will watch Kneecap and discuss it afterward with lecturers Thijs Bos and Chris Heydra. Special guest is lecturer Helen Limon from the minor and the public lecture series The Art of Protest.

Kneecap (2024)

When Belfast friends Liam, Naoise, and JJ come together, they form a hip-hop band unlike any other, rapping in their native Irish language. As their music grows, they attract attention for its energy, humor, and boldness, showing how language, culture, and self-expression can make a powerful statement. Along the way, they face challenges and chaos, but their friendship and music drive them forward in this lively and original story.

Registration

As always, it's free for students and staff! Would you like to suggest a film for next time? You can do that directly in the registration form.
