John graduated from the VU University Amsterdam in 2011 with a degree in Environmental Epidemiology and was appointed a lector at The Hague University of Applied Sciences in 2016. In 2020 he was appointed director (leading professor) of the Centre of Expertise Digital Operations & Finance.

Fernando is an expert in computer vision and data fusion, with a focus on Intelligent Transportation Systems, infrastructure maintenance, and quality control. He is an Associate Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a member of the Board of Governors of the IEEE ITS. Additionally, he is the founder and CTO of Seevia Technologies.

Femke is affiliated with the Research Groups Smart Sensor Systems and Photonics. With a background in data science and geo-ecology, and experience in remote sensing and machine learning, she focuses on applications of image analysis with AI. Within the research groups, Femke works on projects such as detecting fungal infections in hollow fruits and mapping trees and biodiversity in the Netherlands. She applies her expertise in data analysis and image recognition to contribute to innovative research projects.

Jonathan holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Signals and Systems. He has 10 years of experience in industry, working on various projects in the fields of real-time embedded software, hardware, and manufacturing. Currently, his research focuses on 5G RF measurements and energy harvesting systems within the Smart Sensor Systems research group.

Coen is affiliated with the Research Groups Smart Sustainable Manufacturing and Smart Sensor Systems. With a background in safety science and experience as a safety researcher at various organizations in the Netherlands and abroad, he focuses on advancing knowledge in future-oriented safety management. Within the research groups, Coen supports the development of project proposals and coordinates projects on the theme Future of Work.

Erdal holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in computational electromagnetics, antennas, and microwave engineering. He has over 25 years of experience in modeling, analysis, design, fabrication, and measurement of RF and microwave applications. At The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Erdal is leading the EU project NextGEM.

Astrid coordinates the general affairs of the research group and provides project support for various projects, including Gewasgroei Goed Gemeten, Grounded, MeLiDos, NextGEM, PrimaVera, and Climatescan for Rijkswaterstaat.
