In 2021, Theo started at The Hague University of Applied Sciences as director of the Education, Knowledge & Communication department. After his PhD, he combines all his knowledge and experience as a Learning Technology & Analytics professor. In addition, Theo is an Assistant Professor at the VU Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences.

Manika is trained in Educational Technology. She developed the Dutch 3E Framework for evidence-informed evaluation of EdTech effectiveness for Npuls. She is continuing her PhD research on safeguarding the integrity of assessments in the Research Group. She is also researching emerging challenges and recommendations for assessments in the AI era.

Sunčica's main interest lies in the intersection between digital innovation and social (in)equity. She is experienced in providing educational stakeholders with actionable policy recommendations based on empirical evidence, and is currently researching the impact of generative AI on assessment practices in higher education.

Chennery conducts research on where inequality arises in higher education. Since quantitative and qualitative insights reinforce one another, she analyzes data and speaks with students from underrepresented groups. This enables her to integrate data with students' perspectives to more precisely identify and address inequality.

Claudia is a driven educational innovator, fascinated by educational quality and how internationalisation and AI can enhance learning. As co-founder of A.I.D.E. at the Faculty of Management & Organisation at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, she researches ethical and future-oriented use of AI in education. To this end, I facilitate a community of practice by teachers, for teachers.

Jaya has a Bachelor’s degree in law (HBO level). With a strong interest in educational equity, she is committed to contributing to research that supports innovation and development opportunities within education. In the Npuls Key Position project, she supports researchers and lecturers in research on equity and AI at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

She is preparing for a PhD application. Her research question is: How can teachers use Generative AI to differentiate their teaching so that students achieve higher learning outcomes, supported by proven instructional methods and pedagogy to support effective learning?

Poko uses machine learning to investigate bottlenecks to equity in curricula. He maps student groups that are disproportionately affected for better or worse. In this way, he provides data-driven insights to support study programmes in increasing equity in their curricula.

Saskia (0.4) is a policy advisor at THUAS' Education, Knowledge, and Communication Service (OKC) and is conducting a PhD research at Leiden University.

Since September 1, 2025, Monique has been working as Senior Management Assistant at the Faculty of IT&D. She supports the Learning Technology and Analytics research group and works closely with Professor Theo Bakker.
