John graduated from the VU University Amsterdam in 2011 with a degree in Environmental Epidemiology and was appointed a lector at The Hague University of Applied Sciences in 2016. In 2020 he was appointed director (leading professor) of the Centre of Expertise Digital Operations & Finance.

Steven focuses on research and development in the field of optical measurements. Optics and photonics have been the cross-cutting theme in his carrier for about 25 years. Since January 1st 2021 he has been appointed as a professor in Photonics at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

In March 2025, Cor started as a professor of Data Driven Marketing at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Previously, he was project leader for the new master's program in Data Driven Business, program manager of the MBA (including the Big Data variant), and lecturer in International Business. In addition, Cor holds the position of professor for New Entrepreneurship at Avans University of Applied Sciences.
 

Jenny works mainly on research projects related to process improvement in engineering and manufacturing, enhancing collaboration within complex production chains; both within companies and between companies. Since 2011 she also worked as a part-time lecturer in Master and Bachelor education. In 2021 she has been appointed professor at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS).
 

Martijn began his position as professor of the New Finance research group in 2018. His dissertation at the TU Delft was completed in 2022, regarding the design of the monetary-financial system in the digital age. His research relates to new forms of digital money (CBDC’s, stablecoins and cryptos), the liberalisation of banks, mechanisms in the monetary system that contribute to inequality and financial instability, as well as monetary policy and reform proposals.

Nicole is interested in how platform models in the economy can not only provide convenience and efficiency, but also how they can help address the broader societal challenges of the coming decades: the (fair) distribution of work in a rapidly changing labor market, the redefinition of mobility, the greening of consumption, and the more efficient use and reuse of physical products.

 Since 2013, Jacco has been a professor of Change Management at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. His research focuses on developing new, unorthodox perspectives on organizational and management issues: how can we envision and shape organizations in ways that differ from classical theories and models?

Astrid is responsible for quality assurance at the Centre of Expertise Digital Operations & Finance. In this role, she supports various tasks, including preparing management reports, annual plans, annual reports, and accreditations.  

Chantal is senior management assistant at the Centre of Expertise Digital Operations & Finance. In this role, she supports the research groups that are part of the Centre of Expertise.
