GreenEdge brings sustainability, entrepreneurship, and technology together in education in a very practical way. Students do not just learn about change, they experience how they can create impact themselves.

Introduction

GreenEdge supports the transition toward a circular economy by helping students, educators, and entrepreneurs develop green skills through innovative learning pathways. The project combines AI, gamification, and practice-oriented research in a virtual incubator environment. In doing so, participants are prepared for sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship in a rapidly changing labour market.

Project Background

The demand for professionals with sustainability and circular economy expertise is growing rapidly. At the same time, higher education institutions struggle to connect theoretical knowledge with practical entrepreneurial skills. GreenEdge addresses this challenge through practice-oriented and AI-supported learning solutions that strengthen collaboration between education, research, and industry. The project officially kicked off on 19 March 2026 in Kraków.

Objective

To strengthen sustainable entrepreneurial skills through AI-driven, practice-oriented, and gamified learning environments.

Target Group

GreenEdge focuses on higher education students interested in sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation. The project also engages educators, researchers, aspiring entrepreneurs, industry experts, mentors, and policymakers. Together, these stakeholders contribute to stronger entrepreneurial ecosystems and the integration of sustainability principles into education, business, and policy.

Method

GreenEdge uses a practice-oriented and co-creative approach in which researchers and societal stakeholders jointly develop and test educational tools. Through iterative development cycles, feedback sessions, and pilot testing in higher education, AI-based courses, micro-credentials, and a virtual incubator are continuously improved.

Results

GreenEdge develops micro-credential learning pathways aligned with labour market needs, AI-based gamified courses, and a virtual incubator for sustainable business ideas. The project delivers practical tools that bridge the gap between theory and practice while strengthening sustainable entrepreneurial skills within and beyond higher education.

Impact

GreenEdge contributes to the green transition by making sustainable entrepreneurship more accessible and practice-oriented. Students develop skills that address societal and labour market challenges. The project also strengthens collaboration between education, research, and industry while stimulating innovation around the circular economy and sustainability.
