What are we going to do?

We're going to watch movies! And of course, we'll also discuss these films together. After the screening, we'll talk about the film, focusing on aspects such as content, technique, and cinematography. Additionally, this offers a place where you can meet new people who share the same passion for film.

Your hosts of the Film Club are Thijs Bos and Chris Heydra. Together they have 13 years of experience with film analysis and also taught courses and workshops at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and the Royal Academy of Art (KABK). Together they will guide you to see what others do not quickly notice in film. But beware, once you know the subtle tricks of the film you will never watch a movie the same again.

Students and staff of The Hague University of Applied Sciences are welcome! Admission is free, as always.

V for Vendetta | January 15

In the future, Great Britain has become a dictatorship. The government justifies the curtailment of freedoms by pointing to the threat of terrorism. A young woman, Evey (Natalie Portman), encounters the masked V (Hugo Weaving), seemingly the only person who dares to resist the oppression. Evey is captured, tortured, has her head shaved, and must decide whether to side with the rebel.
