27 May 2026
Highest score on General Satisfaction in National Student Survey 2026 .
Students at The Hague University of Applied Sciences are, compared to the other university of applied sciences in the Randstad region, the most satisfied with their degree programmes. Students also say that they would choose the same degree programme again. And we are immensely proud of that!
Inclusive character THUAS branding themes
Overall, we are seeing a positive trend in the NSS this year, with consistently high scores.
THUAS' key themes: Well-being, internationalisation and an inclusive culture are highly valued. Our inclusive culture has shown an improvement across all areas this year.
Students also say that their degree programme covers digitalisation and AI. A question that has been included in the survey for the first time this year.
“For the fourth year running, we have achieved the highest score, which shows that our students appreciate the quality and choices we make together as an institution. We are in the midst of realising our educational vision, and it is precisely at this stage that this recognition is particularly meaningful. The high scores we achieved in our key areas of focus – well-being, internationalisation and an inclusive culture – confirm that students genuinely experience these areas in this way. It is also striking that, for the first time this year, students were asked about digitalisation and AI in their degree programmes, and that The Hague University of Applied Sciences scored highly in this area straight away. This is in line with our ambition in this field and demonstrates that we are successfully integrating these elements into our education at a rapid pace. This is down to everyone at THUAS – our lecturers, students, researchers and support staff,” said Arend Hardorff, member of the Executive Board and holder of the Education and Research portfolio.
About the National Student Survey
The National Student Survey is a nationwide survey conducted by the National Centre for Study Choice, in which students give their views each year on various aspects of their degree programme and institute. The results are used to help young people choose a suitable study programme, including via Studiekeuze123.nl. Prospective students can view and compare degree programmes here based on the NSE results. Universities of Applied Sciences and universities use the results to further develop and improve their education.
