Students at the heart of UNINOVIS

Every meeting of the UNINOVIS European University Alliance brings us a step closer to our goals, but with the formal establishment of the UNINOVIS Student Board, we truly made a leap forward.
Every meeting of the UNINOVIS European University Alliance brings us a step closer to our goals, but with the formal establishment of the UNINOVIS Student Board, we truly made a leap forward. Last week in Malaga, students from all partner institutions actively participated in the General Assembly. Through their contributions to strategic discussions, they helped shape the future direction of the alliance.
Elisabeth Minnemann: “The week in Málaga shows how far UNINOVIS has come. Together with my fellow executive board members, we are building greater mutual trust to reach concrete strategic decisions. With active student engagement and an increasingly strong connection between education, research, and innovation, the alliance is clearly moving from ambition to impact.”
Promising developments
Alongside the General Assembly, the UNINOVIS Research Conference and the DiPYUA Workshop also took place, where we discussed the do’s and don’ts of digital platforms together with ten other alliances. During these activities, we strengthened the link between education, applied research, and societal impact, while opening promising collaboration opportunities in the areas of semiconductors, data science & AI, entrepreneurship, food systems, and sustainable tourism.
Value for students
With strengthened governance, growing trust, active student involvement, and a clear strategic focus, UNINOVIS is taking concrete steps toward becoming a credible, long-term European University Alliance that delivers real value for students, staff, regions, and society.
Many thanks to all partners and students for their energy, openness, and collaboration during this inspiring week in Málaga.
