Elisabeth Minnemann, Chair of the Executive Board of The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS), has announced her departure. She will step down from her post on 1 September 2027, having served as Chair for seven years.

Elisabeth has taken this decision well considered: this will give the Supervisory Board ample time to organise her succession properly. "Our education and practice-oriented research have an impact on the development of our students and on society. My ambition is to help THUAS keep getting stronger. I know I'm not alone in this, and that is what makes working at THUAS so special."

The Supervisory Board expresses its appreciation for the timely announcement of her departure and for the important role she plays at THUAS. Supervisory Board Chair Marjet van Zuijlen said: "Elisabeth has always brought enthusiasm, energy and conviction to her work. Under her inspiring leadership, THUAS has taken wonderful steps forward, such as rising student satisfaction, growth in the number of (master's) programmes and the development of a strategic research agenda. Today, THUAS stands as an international knowledge institution that we can be proud of, one that plays a leading role in public debate. Elisabeth is ready for a new phase in her life. The Supervisory Board is grateful for everything Elisabeth means to THUAS."

The search for a new Chair will begin shortly.
