The THUAS library supports education and research with its own high-quality collection of (digital) information sources and with tools services to maximise the use of this collection.

As a lecturer, you want to help your students develop into true professionals. You teach them essential skills, such as research skills. To do this, you use or develop your own quality educational materials. This guide introduces you to the opportunities the library offers to support you in this.

The guide consists of three parts.

  1. In the first part, we discuss the collection and the systems and tools used to access it. This includes content for blended learning. This part also covers services such as library training activities, support with the copyright aspects of developing educational materials, and tools for reference management and qualitative research analysis. The first part ends with a virtual tour of our locations.
  2. In the second part, we explain proven methods for effective searching.
  3. Finally, in the last part, we cover the most important subject-specific databases. We will discuss the content, (search) options and notification options of these databases. Notification options can be useful to stay informed about a subject of expertise.

As a library we like to cooperate with lecturers to shape education. In this guide, we aim to provide an overview of where this collaboration can be established.
