Lisanne Addink has a clear mission in mind: a world without waste. Right after graduating in Industrial Design from Delft University of Technology, she threw herself into entrepreneurship with passion. Through her upcycling companies, VerdraaidGoed and Coffee Based, she collaborates with social workplaces to give discarded materials a new purpose. From designer lamps to coffee cups, and from bags to notebooks—always sustainable and socially responsible.

Lisanne: “I see that more and more starting entrepreneurs want to contribute to building a circular economy. Companies are beginning to realize that the shift from linear to circular is now truly underway, and that it is wise to actively take part. Not only because it makes the world a better place and allows you to take responsibility as an entrepreneur, but also because your business will benefit from it.

I love to show in a tangible, engaging, and above all playful way how (starting) entrepreneurs can make the circular economy part of their work. I strongly believe in a positive approach rather than pointing fingers, and in collaboration instead of competition. By bringing together knowledge, experience, and new ideas, we can create appealing circular projects that inspire every corner of society.”

Lisanne has spoken at TEDx, appeared on various radio and television programs, and was listed in the Sustainable Top 100: a prestigious ranking of the 100 most influential Dutch people in the field of sustainability.

On Sustainable Monday, Lisanne will be joining us for an inspiration session. She will share how to build a successful business model using residual materials. Don’t miss this inspiring story!

Depending on the participants, the session will be held in Dutch or English.

In addition to this inspiration session, Lisanne will also give a masterclass from 12:15–13:00 at the Speakers’ Corner. Here, you can pitch your own innovative business idea and exchange ideas with her. No registration required for this session.
