EUM POWER Opening: The Future of European Labour Migration

Between 22 and 25 September 2025, the very first Interregional Meeting of EUM POWER will take place in the Netherlands (The Hague) and Belgium (Ninove & Brussels).

We will kick off with the Opening Ceremony on 22 September in The Hague, an inspiring gathering open to everyone interested in intra-European labour migration.

During this ceremony, we will celebrate the launch of the EUM POWER project and highlight the ambitions of this new partnership. A panel of experts will discuss the current issues and challenges surrounding labour migration within the EU – for both regions of origin and destination.

Programme

• 11:15 – Welcome with coffee/tea
• 11:30 – Plenary opening by Willem van Nieuwkerk, Faculty Director of Public Management, Law & Safety, The Hague University of Applied Sciences
• 11:45 – Panel discussion with:

  • Harm Botje, Journalist, Follow the Money
  • Malgorzata Bos-Karczewska, EU Labour Migration Expert
  • Marianne Meijer, Manager, Flexibel B.V. Employment Agency
