Dress to Remix

It’s that time again at The Hague University of Applied Sciences! Green Office invites you, together with The Lighthouse, to explore the Atrium between 11:00 and 14:00, this time for: Dress to Remix. How can you make small, smart choices to make your wardrobe more sustainable and creative?

Pitstop 1: Clothing Swap
From April 13 to May 18, you can donate clothes in the cargo bike. On the day of the event, trade in your 3 stamps to pick out a maximum of 3 new pre-loved items!

Pitstop 2: Sewing & Repair Workshop
Learn basic upcycling and repairs like button sewing, hem attachments, and fixing zip-ups, or embrace your creative freedom by printing on clothes.

Pitstop 3: Information & Awareness
Take a seat in a Greenhouse cinema chair, grab some popcorn, and watch a 10-minute short clip of documentary "The True Cost" to learn about the side effects of fast fashion.

Pitstop 4: Fabric Sensorial Experience
Join passionate students about fashion from Experience Centre (?-not sure) for a fun guessing game focused on different fabrics.

Pitstop 5: Trash or très chic?
Dress our mannequins in our photo contest area equipped with different fabrics, bulb lights, and Vogue music. Post your picture on Instagram to enter the contest—do you have what it takes to dress up a model for a fashion show?

Pitstop 6: Color Palette Advice
Discover your personal style with Rigtje Bruinsma. She will offer conscious color choices, helping you figure out what could work for your wardrobe.

Afternoon Activity

16:00–18:00

Climate Pubquiz
Head over to West 75 to test your knowledge in our pub quiz. Gather a team of minimum of 3 participants to compete for a prize. Drinks and snacks will be provided! Sign-up at [email protected] or on the day of the event. 

How It Works

• Participants collect stamps on cards by visiting the various stations.
• Earning 3 stamps grants you official access to the Clothing Swap.
• Admission is free for students and staff, as always.
