At THUAS, we believe it is important to provide a safe, inclusive and respectful learning and working environment. To all. We actively pursue that goal every day. Still, something unpleasant may happen, where you may be faced with undesirable behaviour. In those cases, you can turn to a confidential adviser.

Aggression, (sexual) harassment, bullying or discrimination. Undesirable behaviour comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Big and small. Obvious and subtle. An inappropriate comment, joke or physical touch can seem harmless and yet still cross a line. What matters is how it feels to you.

The confidential adviser is accessible for everyone

Are you feeling about about something that has happened? Don’t bottle it up. With a confidential adviser, you can talk about it in a safe environment. Their support is approachable, independent and always without judgement. Everything you say will be kept confidential. Your story will never be shared without your permission and action will only be taken if you want it to be taken. And sometimes, taking action isn’t necessary. Sometimes just talking about what’s bothering you is enough. You’re in control.

Depending on what you need, you can turn to the confidential adviser to:

  • Share your story
  • Explore whether you want to take action and which steps feel appropriate for you
  • Figure out, together, how to resolve the situation
  • File a complaint

Integrity issues

The confidential adviser is not only available for undesirable behaviour. You can also turn to the confidential adviser for integrity violations or wrongdoing.
