Student Branch
The Student Branch (SB) is the student unit of the Lectorate of Inclusive Education. Through the SB students are invited to participate in student driven and oriented initiatives, ranging from research to supporting fellow students in the pursuit of their education. The SB has four main themes of operation: promotion of an inclusive learning environment; student support activities; student empowerment, and student research.

What can the Student Branch mean for you?
The Student Branch was created to provide a student-led platform for students within the university to express their needs, to create a community, to support, to empower and to realise student-led projects and research. If you as a student are interested in starting a project within the university, getting involved in research or have an issue and don’t know who to go to, we offer support. We believe that helping and supporting each other can give students the courage to actively shape their university experience.
We offer a student community fund for projects that support community building.
The Student Branch’s focus
The Student Branch is the student unit of the Center of Expertise Global and Inclusive Learning. The Student Branch is run by junior researchers and student staff, working together towards creating an inclusive campus where the student is central. Through the Student Branch students are invited to participate in student driven and oriented initiatives, ranging from research and empowerment activities to supporting fellow students in the pursuit of their education. The Student Branch has the following main themes of operation:

Inspiration to create the Student Branch:
The Student Branch was created and set up by former lector Inclusive Education Aminata Cairo. She firmly believes that inclusivity cannot be reached without the active participation of the students as the focus target group of the institution. By giving students a platform, staff and students can work together to create an inclusive learning environment.
